Movies and Books 2019

In 2018, I kept a detailed diary of every thing I watched, read, played, and listened to — excluding individual songs or news stories for the sake of sanity. Inspired by director Steven Soderbergh’s annual media diary, it was a way for me to keep track of not just what media I was engaging with, but how much media I was engaging with. It was exhausting to keep up with, honestly.

For 2019, I wanted to do something similar, but slightly less intense. I decided I’d only keep track of the books I read (or tried to read), and the movies I watched.

PS — I started a lot of books and either didn’t finish most of them or I’m in the middle of still working my way through them. Those have a * next to them.
